Layered Wood Songbird

A freestanding bird made from thin flat pieces of pale wood stacked side by side. Each layer is a slightly different outline, so the head, breast, wing and tail step outward from the centre and the stack reads as a rounded body.

The parts are laser cut, which leaves a dark edge on every layer and draws the outline of the eye, wing and tail feathers.
